Traditional Year End Blog ..Adios 2011.

This new year is ending on a positive note unlike last few years.

May be because I have calmed down the pace of dreams or may be because of that AOL course which helped me to be contented with what I have and accept people as they are.

Quickfire of memorabilia,

1. January: I don't remember what I did on 31st night. I guess I was at home.
(Thanks to Bals he knew what I did on 31st,
I was at LOR emptying a full Glenlivet. It was wonderful night.)
Got John Deere offer, waiting to get relieved.
In confusion of European or American MNC, I chose American.
Last party at LOR with Bals & Jay !
RIP: Pt. Bhimsen Joshi. A gem of voice.

2. February: With tears in eyes left Bangalore. Joined @ John Deere Pune.
4 years of Out of Maharashtra stay ended.
Got a flat near Naren's apartment.
                      Get-together with Pune friends.
                      Trip to Mahabaleswhwar was fun.
                      Bryan Adam's Live Concert !

3. March: My sister, Soni came to stay with me. For the first time we were
in same city. Those were nice days.

4. April: India won the cricket world cup. Wandered on the roads till midnight
              creating chaos.

My Birthday. Soni did wonderful surprise decoration. It's still there on
              the wall. :)

Mom and dad came to Pune, we did a lot and lots of shopping for
              Soni's wedding.

Got to know why all men hate a place called "Tulsibaug" in Pune.

              Celebrated Baba's Birthday at Pune.

5. May: Soni went back home.  Lots of work.. no play.

6. June: Jiju Sachin came back from US. Soni's Engagement
and wedding followed on 12th June. One of the best moments of life.
Same month Jiju and Soni went to US.

Naren got married on 11th June.

7. July: Trek to Bhimashankar, one of the most adventurous.

Celebrated Independence day in a school.
Team outing to Adventure+ near Pune.
The storm named Anna Hazare shook the Government.

were rallying in support of Anna.

9. September: Getting the flavor of real Agile processes at office. Zombie life.

And finally a Glimmer of Hope...

P.S. Kasab is still alive, and Lokapal is still debated.

Ambulance !

That piercing loud sound of Ambulance siren. Instantly evokes cold shivers through my Spine.
One life is on the wire. In city's hectic traffic, that one life is struggling to pass though the obstacles.
Years of journey on a deciding note of that one transit.

In a flash everything comes to a standstill, the vertical plane of number of years of life spans horizontally over that route, the Ambulance takes.

Had I been a writer I would have wrote a book on what goes inside & outside of Ambulance in those close moments of life's encounters.
How many are lucky enough to reach there in time...and how many...

The Blend

I don't know what's the matter. ..but sometimes I have seen friends asking, what's the deal about Katol, why all Katolians are so different.. I tell you today why it is so...

It's a blend.. like a scotch made up of fine grains.. Katol is a smalltown, but it has it's own heritage... Educational institutions played thee most important role in blending this scotch... Nowadays many new convent school are opening up and the scotch is loosing it's fervor...

I am proud to be a student of BRHS. Banarasidas Ruiya...from high school till junior college. 8 years.
And this is true for all those mate in this journey...

We got very good teachers, but the most important is TIME & TALKS... the time we spent sitting beside the canal.. in the libraries..on school playground..near the lake...in the labs..at the stadium....& riding on bicycles.

It's the TIME & the TALKS that blended the scotch with that fervor... each one of us...discussed about all the hell ..most of us were fortunate to walk that path, yes there are one or two friends who couldn't achieve at this stage ...but I'm damn sure ..they are getting matured and will surpass the rest in a flash. We are never doubtful about each other so there is always respect for each other at any given time. low or high.. we gonna fly.

Each one of us had a dream, each of us had imagined future for ourselves and for our country, sound cliched but that's true.. when you are in company of good and fearless people you discuss all that comes your way. We embarrassed freedom much earlier than the rest of the world. When everyone around us is running in the rat-race for marks we were striving already for knowledge through healthy competition among us. We never compared anything in our group but everyone wanted to hit the spot. We took pride in getting less marks by solving the complex problem first.. We focused on learning the whole, not satisfied with the narrow view. We always believed in taking the control of tough situations. That's the whole thing about this blend...   we can be seen standing strong at the tipping point, because we believe that's our start point, we are trained in that way.  That's why sometimes we are accused of approaching things in a different way. We love those accusations.

I'm more fortunate than others coz I got into another institution... UCOE. To get there the strength came from the TIME & TALKS... Will you learn Engineering in a Primary School? I did.
and so are my friends at UCOE... What hopes will you carry when you get into primary school classrooms to learn your Engineering lessons..many would feel there future is doomed, but not us. We had SkyHigh hopes, because we took the charge in our own hands. We never said a word about what we are not getting, instead we said we have this much to offer... We learned it that way, so we remember the lessons forever, and still cherish those days!

Now we may have settled down, but the urges we have will come back to us in near future, they will not let us sleep easily. Because we had talked about our future and about the country. ..country part is still undone.
The TALKS are registered there in the subconscious with a specific TIME. They will make us act at that time.

That's all about this blend, may not be perfect, may not be smooth, but it has it's own strength, feel and fervor.

Love Love Love

It's difficult to keep up with blogging when you have so many social blabbering websites ;) The words slip here and there and don't just build up enough pressure to come out like a blog article.

Even then there are moments which are so compelling that makes you revisit your own world... bare & raw.

It happened last weekend.

I was at Bangalore attending a social gathering of around 6 thousand people as part of Art of Living three day course.

After the first day, I got the feeling like I was sent to rehab for three days after committing some social crime.  I shared the feeling with my friend Toshi, who came along, after being forced to join repetitively. he was also sailing in the same feelings. We were like bunch of happy bachelors just experimenting with this new way of life. Nothing much serious about it. We thought it's just three days let's endure.

Day 2  of the course and Guruji arrived. People opened up before him.
During the course of event many participants shared there life experiences. Without any offense and with anonymity I am writing this.

There was a lady she stood up and told, "I was about to finish my life just before coming to this place. I have decided to commit suicide, but now I want to live. I am happy now, I have accepted those who wronged with me. I made peace with life."

After few moments another lady spoke. "I came here with my sister who lost her only son a week before. She was not at all able to forget him and was not talking to anyone so we took her here. " after this she handed over the mic to her sister to open up.... what we heard after that was soul wrenching... she started to speak.. " I lost my son a week back.. he was  a brave good boy.. he got murdered by rowdy people when he intercepted and saved a girl from them. he was my cute child ..but now he is no more.. I am not able to come out of this grief..but after coming here and after doing the processes I am accepting this fact. I haven't talked to anyone about this...but now i'm feeling some strength within me."

Another lady stood up who raised her two kids after her husbands early demise. She was much strong from within and was beaming with strength.

A girl from the crowd was crying and she told that she was given away to someone else after her birth. She was not able to forgive her mother for this and was always carrying that anger within her... but she dropped that anger after coming to this place and listening to Guruji's words.

These are not cooked up stories but the real people and there problems.

Me and my friend were silent after listening to all this. We had a different assumption before coming here.. that the world is happy go lucky and just come around here to spend some nice time. But hell no, we were dumb wrong. People came with their real problems in hope to find a solution, and many of them got the solution.
The solution was simple. for all the problems the solution was.... Letting go and Love. and that's what is the mission of this organization... to create a stress free, violence free society. One world filled with Love.

At the end of Day 2, we were left thinking how lucky we are so far...

Bullshit

He was sitting on a rock thinking to himself.

It's the feeling that he moved ahead in space leaving the time behind.

Time tied tightly somewhere in past. Can't escape to catch up with him.

How many times he turned back, staring into the hopeless eyes of time,

He needed that time with him, but the time could not escape.

Slowly he forgot about the time, and kept on moving in space,

Without time, it was a quite journey no beats no ticks,

Now the vision is so much blurred in the darkness of space,

when he turned around , he doesn't see anything, not the time,

neither the moments around which it has tied itself.

he lost all that time, he never bothered to count those ticks.

Missing Hildesheim

Hildesheim ...

Hildesheim, Nothing great about this quite small town in Germany,
Except the fact that, whosoever has stayed here knows true meaning of the word "Friendship".

23, Karthauser Strasse, Hildesheim.

Nice Video "Dancing Hildesheim" :)
Almost all places in Hildesheim are shown in this video, would have loved to see Mittelallee, 1000 year old Rose bush, Itzum and several other nooks and corners of this town...

As if I know everything about Life...

Life is always a "age range bracketed" race, at certain age we compete and run along others to get something, when we were 10, we wanted the same toys/games like our friends got, at 15 we were into marks and percentage race, who gets admission where, at nearly 22- career race, who gets employed where & how much..here race slows a bit down (some people stop & think) or some moves even faster, then settlement, house/flat, who got how big flat, where and how much..then obviously comes marriage. Within few years you are expected to have children, after this stage, seats changed, we are almost halfway done, the doer so far now becomes seeker & again same drama repeats.

Those who stay away from this..are often suspected or ridiculed.:D

just a passing thought. no personal offense, i'm also part of it :)

tera shehar jo peechhe chhut raha
kuch andar andar tut raha
hairaan hai mere do naina
yeh jharna kahaan se phut raha

...jab jab chaha tune rajj ke rulaya
jab jab chaha tune khul ke hasaya
jab jab chaha tune khud mein milaya
ik tu hi tu hi tu hi tu hi......."

Is there any difference...

Date: 1 September 2011
Time: 9:45 A.M.
Venue: Hadapsar
Setting: Ganesh Chaturthi. Ganesha festival starting from today, heavy traffic, slight rain, lots of people on road, lots of stalls.
What I was doing: Rushing to office on the bike for the 10 A.M. standup.

When we were kids we saw elders telling us not to be affectionate with the clay dolls,
Today I saw elders bare feet, holding the clay dolls close to there heart so that no raindrops touches it.

We were told not to talk rubbish while playing with clay dolls, rather they were amused and called it child's play.
Now for 10 days even the elders will talk for hours with there clay dolls, they may not talk openly but from within they are telling everything to these dolls.

We were crying when those dolls broke, elders were consoling us to buy a new one.
Exactly after 10 days, on 10th Sep, these elder and younger eyes will be filled with tears as there clay dolls will be taken away. While doing so, they will console themselves & only say.
"Ganpati Bappa Morya, Pudhchya Varshi lavkar ya "

Time: 9:50 A.M.
Venue: Hadapsar
Setting: Ganesh Chaturthi. Ganesha festival starting from today, heavy traffic, slight rain, lots of people on road, lots of stalls.
What I was doing: Calmed down, the shades were wet both outside & inside, was observing the elders and younger alike. The joy was evident on there face, drums beating around as they carried there idols to home, wanted to be part of them, the next 5 minute I was not different from that crowd, I was part of them.

Life is an expression of joy, innocence, heartfelt emotions...

Patterns !

*You need a goddamn IQ of 180 or above to understand this post.*

Architect......... In the MATRIX, he was responsible for creating the Matrix.

Every matrix has rules.

Years before I got a mail, stages of Orkut profile.

One profile corresponds to one Life.

Watchful journey. Look around you. Leaving the tremors & ripples aside.

I See Patterns. I See Rules. I hear stereotyped conversations. What did you saw?

Blame it on my instincts.

Thought Experiment:
Imagine sitting in a crowded hotel. choose a seat at the back so that you can see the entire hall.
now turn down the internal volume to zero. You should only be able to listen to the outside crowd noise. No other internal murmurs. Give yourself to outside noise. Be all ears and eyes.

Now, Observe people. You will also see the patterns.

There is guy with his laptop sitting on one table.
There is a couple on another table, obviously the girl is chatting and boy is saying huh,,,yes,,aha in intervals.
There is a small family with a kid. The kid is crying, the mother is trying to console, the poor chap is sitting hopelessly.
There is a bigger family with some old looking people with amused expressions on there faces. Seems like there children have got them to hotel. The kid is bigger in this family and he is taking care of himself
Then I see myself, from the other end of hotel while still being seated where I was when I first entered the hotel.. I see, a guy sitting there quietly, smiling at me.

Now
Another assignment. Can you imagine the activities of these people. They are transitioning from one phase to another without much of there knowledge(or may be with that) as if bound by some rules or patterns. The biological rules.

The Patterns are everywhere. I say it's indefinite Arrrr...Office time . To be continued...

Silence thundering Silence.

Trek to Bhimashankar - Life Changing Experience.

Got to know what it really means to go the EXTRA mile.

Coming out the IT bozo laziness, leaving away comfort zones,

Going to a place where ENDURANCE only matters.

For someone like me, who has divorced fitness in the name of IT, it was a life changing experience.

Sometimes I feel I should Tweet instead of putting one liner blogs...

But then I think those one liners are the tough learned lessons. Deserves to be there.

Bite of destiny.

As in Bite of cake or
or as in Dog Bite :)

It's Both.

I hate to copy and paste the stuff from net onto My Space. But this was going well with the feelings..

Once upon a time all feelings and emotions went to a coastal island for a vacation. According to their nature, each was having a good time. Suddenly, a warning of an impending storm was announced and everyone was advised to evacuate the island.

The announcement caused sudden panic. All rushed to their boats. Even damaged boats were quickly repaired and commissioned for duty.

Yet, Love did not wish to flee quickly. There was so much to do. But as the clouds darkened, Love realised it was time to leave. Alas, there were no boats to spare. Love looked around with hope.

Just then Prosperity passed by in a luxurious boat. Love shouted, “Prosperity, could you please take me in your boat?”
“No,” replied Prosperity, “my boat is full of precious possessions, gold and silver. There is no place for you.”

A little later Vanity came by in a beautiful boat. Again Love shouted, “Could you help me, Vanity? I am stranded and need a lift. Please take me with you.”
Vanity responded haughtily, “No, I cannot take you with me. My boat will get soiled with your muddy feet.”

Sorrow passed by after some time. Again, Love asked for help. But it was to no avail. “No, I cannot take you with me. I am so sad. I want to be by myself.”

When Happiness passed by a few minutes later, Love again called for help. But Happiness was so happy that it did not look around, hardly concerned about anyone.

Love was growing restless and dejected. Just then somebody called out, “Come Love, I will take you with me.” Love did not know who was being so magnanimous, but jumped on to the boat, greatly relieved that she would reach a safe place.

On getting off the boat, Love met Knowledge. Puzzled, Love inquired, “Knowledge, do you know who so generously gave me a lift just when no one else wished to help?”
Knowledge smiled, “Oh, that was Time.”

“And why would Time stop to pick me and take me to safety?” Love wondered.
Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and replied, “Because only Time knows your true greatness and what you are capable of. Only Love can bring peace and great happiness in this world.”

“When we are prosperous, we overlook love. When we feel important, we forget love. Even in happiness and sorrow we forget love. Only with time do we realize the importance of love. Why wait that long? Why not make love a part of your life today?”

Whenever it rains...

Clouds, Sea, Sky, Rains... I cant resist.

Whenever it rains, I no longer care about the damn costly mobile,

Nor even the fear of wallet sinking in,

or the wristwatch to malfunction,

too less a price to pay, for too much of rain.

Stanley Ka Dabba

No Review, just a warning.

Statutory Warning: Sensitive people should keep away from such stuff. If one can think in many unknown dimensions, and not just limit oneself to what is shown on screen but posses powers to look beyond,  STAY AWAY from this movie.

Amol Gupte I HATE YOU.

No title

...   In the midnight the young Brahmin took the book and rushed towards Brahmasthala. He wanted to reach as early as possible the place were Mandaravati was cremated. By the time he reached the cremation ground the Brahmin who had been to the river Ganga also returned. Another young Brahmin was there in the hut. All of them again assembled at one point.

The young Brahmin who had brought the book containing the hymn took a pinch of mud and put it on the ash reciting the hymn. Immediately Madaravati became alive. She was looking still more beautiful. All three were immensely joyous. But they started quarrelling to marry her.

“I recited the hymn. That’s why she got life” one of them said.

“But I had been to the river Ganga and dipped her bones in the river that is the reason Mandaravati got back her life” another Brahmin said.

How is it possible? All these days I have protected the ash. Therefore Mandaravati is my wife” the third youth said.

Betaal asked king Vikram: “oh king Vikram! Now tell me. How was the quarrel resolved> who could be the husband of Mandaravati? Knowing the answer if you remain silent, your head will spit into a thousand pieces!”

“The Brahmin who gave life to Mandaravati becomes her father. The person who took her bones to the river Ganges for dipping is supposed to be her son. The youth who made his hut where she was cremated and  made her ash as bed and slept on it has really loved her. Therefore he is the appropriate husband of Mandaravati” Vikram replied.

Vikram broke his silence by replying Betaal. Betaal glided back to the tree.

Staying away from Social Networking / Facebook - is a good Idea.

I'm feeling better since i have stopped logging into Facebook from last two days. (only two days !!! but shows the extent of overuse)
The funda is - Need to know basis - .
When you are out there you inadvertently get to know many things, some of them you want to know, some you don't.

So when you read all those unnecessary posts, somewhere at the back of mind you start comparing things, your life, there lives, your view, there views,
and whole lot of personal comments.

Why is it required?
Absolutely not needed.

The cleaner thought process requires lesser distractions.
Believe me, FB kinda things are the biggest distractions, because somewhere, they deeply mark some things on your unconscious mind.
You start doing things what you have seen. Originality is lost, moreover thought process is hampered.

One need to meditate to know what it means.
Just try this for one day. Give the time you spent on Facebook for meditation.
The moment you get urge to login on Facebook (it has become one like natural ;) close your eyes and sit comfortably quietly relaxing. (or give the same time to reading a book, listening to your favorite musician.)
The experience will reveal that, you start thinking more about yourself and your life rather than poking into others.

Newes these are just thoughts could vary from person to person. But I am a stubborn entity and I have habit to hold my point.
So take the test and find your own  answer honestly. (It means you have to agree with me ;)

Contemplating a grain of SAND - Aravind Eye Hospital

I hate writing about life and all that *%#$#%^#...everyone know that.  But this is my place and I have right to download all that gets on my mind. may be it's all not crap and some learning..but not all kind of learning is meaningful. Something I was forced to learn and something I wanted to learn..and something that just happened to me that taught me something I never expected. It was the speech by company vp (J D India operations) which is etching my head left and right. That guy did not speak much...he said few things and then played a video. ~~~The aftereffect was so strong that he said only one line that the session is closed, and I couldn't even raise my hands to clap for his presentation. We all were left in our thoughts that we couldn't believe what we just watched.
Background: As this was supposed to be the most high profile session of 3 day long new joinee orientation program, I was excited to attend this.

John Deere, A multi billion dollar US company, the VP of it's India operations was not getting time to address the new joinee's, the VP address was getting delayed so many times, so finally they clubbed 4 to 5 batches and made it happen some two weeks back. But when it happened it left all thinking deeply about few things that never bothered them.

Similar video Link:

another...

The expectations were to listen a vp, who will tell about growing business, sustaining growth, constantly improving with new innovations and bringing change to society and blah blah blah... He did it all but without saying a word about it, in his own way he won the audience and fulfilled his duty to convey his message. I don't know what's the deal, but I love few people or companies instantly, Bosch was one of them and John Deere is made from the same DNA.  Humanitarian approach while keeping business goals in sight, they taught me this.  Consumerism is at it's peak when we count ourselves as developing, and striving to become developed within. Why I need so many things when I can live with so few. I can donate money so does every
rich man, what about time? who will volunteer to work?

The 80-20 principle works everywhere, the balance of this society is also maintained by these 20% good people who don't just feed themselves but think about others as well.

The video he showed was about Aravind Eye Hospitals.
*The founder launched it after getting retired at age of 58.
*Banks denied him loans and asked him to enjoy his retirement.
*With mere 11 beds and family members working with him, he started.
*Today it is the largest and most productive eye care facility in the world. A self-sustaining system that now treats over 1.7 million patients each year, two-thirds of them, for free.

The vision of Dr V, as fondly called by all, is overwhelmingly pure, brilliant and human. got this link read on...

I wonder, moreover I don't understand , when I know what I have to do, why I waste so much time. Will I be ever going to do what I want to do, Will I follow the heart or just listen to brain all the time... will I be able to pursue the gray cells to beat in harmony with heart shaped ones. Why I'm writing all this, why why why...

This is ALL REAL !

28 Years !

I am yet to believe that I have reached to a stage where I have seen world/people/lives. (atleast upto an extent)

It still feels like I have just opened my eyes, and amused to see things happening around.

New bonds in making and older people separating. (of oldage or medical conditions)

Taking there places are the newborns.

Sachin Tendulkar. TENth World Cup for TENdulkar.

Sachin Tendulkar.  Bas naam hi kafi hai.
10th  CRICKET WORLD CUP has this name carved allover on it.
100th Century will be one more reason to rejoice very soon.

A year ago, all journos were talking about Sachin's big three dues;
1> World Cup Win.
2> Triple Ton in Test Cricket.
3> 100 International Centuries.

Of all the above, The master has conquered World Cup goal and 100 centuries are just 1 away. Triple ton ..yeahhh looks bit difficult at this stage, BUT he is the Master. Unstoppable, no age barrier, unfatigued.
If he can smash 200 runs in half day, he can go beyond 400 runs anytime in Test Cricket.
Such is the belief. SACH is the Man. Sach is Life.
The Most Wonderful Cricketing Moment, I have ever watched. Apart from game, WORLD ...take a look, Sachin (A Hindu) is on Yusuf's (A Muslim) shoulders, and Harbhajan (A Sikh) is screaming, he cried after the win. Hindu, Muslim Sikh Isai Hum sab hai bhai bhai. Such is the Nation, Sach is Life.!

With friends at Puna flat, Enjoying the glorious moments.

Kaise kahe alwida ..mehram.

This is a testimony... To the time recently passed.

Sometime in October 2010,  I was talking to my mom over phone...after discussing many other things the topic come about my nature to spend money unwisely. It's true I understand but I cant help it. So to divert the topic about savings and IT tax etc etc..I told my mom that I am gonna change the city and I'm planning to relocate to Pune. Mom was very happy to listen that.  But then it came to me like an obligation to fulfill what I've said. Never to go back on the words.
I started looking at the job mails carefully. Got an opportunity to come to "John Deere" for interview. Reecha ..was her name.. I always remember the first contact wherever I have worked so far. When I got first job in Pune it was Rucha. mere coincidence but I like that.:) Came to "Deere", the interview was bit strange first HR then Technical. Nevertheless I was prepared for anything. The ambiance inside was nice ..comparable o Bosch. I felt like this is the place to be in. Somehow things fall in place and I got the opportunity to work with them. I remenber; after the Tech interview finished,on the way back, I was walking down the road in magarpatta city, I called  Bals and told him that it's done. Soon I am gonaa come to Pune. Little did i know at that point of time that it's going to test my patience for two more weeks.

im feeling very sleepy now..I will write later...gn,
ciao.

The Match that was Nuts...

Now Time: 11:47 PM
Prediction was about Sachin hitting a century before match between Indian & England began at around 2:30 PM....
It was a hairsplitting, nailbitting, nerve wrecking TIE.
